The City of Denver refused to renew OMF’s contract to operate Public Access TV and has no immediate plans to continue serving marginalized communities with Public Access equipment, facilities, and training. In response, we are hosting a Media Engagement event.

OMF will announce the new initiative and host an partner matching exercise

Food and beverages will be provided in our upstairs lounge while DOM members will exhibit their productions created throughout the years.

This event is open to the public and free for all participants
Join us on Saturday, October 13 from 4-6 PM at KDNK for a unique conversation and radio show about media in Carbondale, Glenwood Springs, Aspen, the Roaring Fork Valley, and beyond!
Your News, Your Community brings together community residents and local journalists for face-to-face, honest, open conversations about the media. Together, we will discuss:
- What issues are – and are not – being covered
- How media outlets in your community are funded
- The challenges that local journalists face
- The emerging issue of “fake news”
- The future of media in this unique section of Colorado
These small group conversations will take place from 4-5 PM. The issues that arise from these conversations will be discussed on-air live on KDNK from 5-6 PM.
